Meet Trent Sherrill

After being stood up one too many times by photographers, Trent decided he would just shoot the cars himself! Although majorly self-taught, Trent’s eye for photography did not go unnoticed as he soon landed a spot on the Traditional Rod and Kulture Magazine staff. Expanding his skills from Still Photography to include Videography, Trent was soon flying around the world documenting the culture. A far cry from the typical 9-5.

With a work ethic that rivaled the best, Trent was restlessly traveling night and day, shooting and learning as much as possible. It was during the TRK days that Trent learned of this wacky upholsterer who was pumping some instant classics out of a rural town in Indiana. He and Mikey were fast friends starting at the first photo shoot.

Trent is a Photographer, Videographer, and Entrepreneur that has paved a way of his own in the Classic Car and Automotive Print Industry. His passions always focus on capturing the build and the story of all things “Americana”.

Growing up in the farmlands of central California, Trent was first introduced to cars by his dad during their many trips to the local dragstrip, Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, CA. Always being the rambler, Trent moved to Texas and worked for his Brother-in-Law’s Construction Company as an Estimator. While learning how to organize sub-contractors for job sites and gaining more skill in photography, Trent quickly found he could apply the same knowledge to other fields. He ventured into organizing photoshoots for the car culture during his downtime.

The unfortunate day came where Trent got the news that Traditional Rod and Kulture was going to shut down. When one window closes, a door sometimes swings wide open… Trent took the opportunity to begin something new in 2020: Speed and Kulture Magazine.

On his travels for the Magazine, Trent would often find Indiana as his temporary home, even if it was just a few hours. Deciding he liked the area (and Mikey’s sister, Kayla) well enough, Indiana became more than just a temporary home. Moving to the state for good, Trent and Mikey found themselves and their schedule allowing more time for collaboration. Trent is the man behind the camera, bringing the story of Mikey’s builds to the masses.
